We have an opportunity for a Civil/Structural/Architectural Quality Inspector with one of our clients on a major construction project in the Netherlands.

Position reports to:  Onsite Project Manager

Length of contract: 12 Mths

  • Ensure that all assigned personnel are instructed in and comply with all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) policy, site security, and site regulations, permit to work procedures and instructions and Client requirements.
  • Ensure that Civil/Structural/Architectural building contractors adhere strictly to the latest Issued for construction (IFC) project drawings, specifications, procedures and site instructions.
  • Ensure by leadership and guidance, that CSA contracted works under your control meet all practical requirements.
  • Routinely study, check and review all contractors’ scope as detailed in drawings, specifications and instructions, ensuring contractors proper interpretation and compliance with latest revision IFC drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure contractors dimensional and finishing control methods for checking that all works are properly set out and satisfactory. 
  • Supervise specialist surveying contractors when necessary.
  • Ensure supervisors carry out the witness, inspection and surveillance checks in accordance with the site quality plan.
  • Ensure that contractors are working in the required work areas, locations and elevations and that work sequences and interfaces with other contractors are both coordinated and planned to provide logical progress and target completions as per the contract schedule and daily work plan.
  • Ensure all quality control checks and tests are instigated, with records maintained and available as required for all Civils installation including:
    • concrete mix design, batching operations, concrete pour, foundation release, grouting release, all Steel Structural Specifications and Fire Ratings, Architectural finishes room and area release etc., all in accordance with contractors quality plan, method statements and project specifications. 
  • Where applicable supervise the testing laboratory.
  • Ensure that all construction materials, embedded items, special fixtures etc. are approved for use and are submitted through a submittal process and that any changes or clarifications are completed to the RFI system of record.
  • Agree method statements, risk assessments and job safety analysis. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the agreed method statements.
  • Ensure that a risk assessment has been undertaken and agreed prior to commencement of any new type of work activity if the activity has any potential risk to material or personnel.
  • Other duties as may be assigned or requested


  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or Architecture
  • Experienced in architectural finishes sign-off necessary
  • 10+ years experience in Civils construction.
  • Candidate should be a motivated self-starter with complex problem solving ability. 
  • Excellent communication skills and team oriented personality required to interface with construction and operations teams.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.
