Engineering Data Analyst / Statistician

Your Role: Our company is currently supporting a blue chip semiconductor client on commissioning works at its facility. Our commissioning teams capture a lot of data and with the amount of activity happening daily on site, this data can build up and become overwhelming to understand. You will be responsible for analysing and presenting data on commissioning and engineering works in order to aid data-driven decision making and strategic planning.

Position reports to:  Onsite Project Manager

Length of contract: Permanent Full time

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Collate Construction and Commissioning data from Database and analyse its quality and accuracy against known benchmarks. 
  • Analysis and comparison of scheduled events and look for trends. 
  • Issue identification and analysis, such as pattern analysis and root cause analysis, to help identify issues and propose solutions.
  • Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews and Coordination Meetings.
  • Developing a strong professional working relationship with the Client, Client Representatives and Vendors.
  • Use business intelligence tools such as dashboards to visually display data and trends for reporting.
  • Ensure quality of statistical reports .
  • Design, implement and improve KPI & SLA reports.
  • Compilation and issue of weekly and monthly data reports & graphics.

Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree / Higher Diploma in a Science/Engineering/Maths/ Computer Science discipline is preferred but not essential for well experienced candidates.
  • A strong analytical mindset.
  • Good statistical knowledge and strong technical skills.
  • An understanding of data handling, modelling, data mining and reporting techniques.
  • Experienced in use of Business Intelligence Software such as Microsoft Power BI.
  • Proficiency in Computer Operating Systems with particular emphasis on Advanced Excel skills. and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc.
  • An ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and the ability to remain calm and focused when dealing with multiple tasks.
  • Excellent organisational skills and be effective at prioritising tasks in order to achieve project deadlines.
  • Possess excellent Communication / Documentation and Interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and accountability.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.
